Curriculum

Science curriculum with a focus on hands-on experiences and Creator connections

Curriculum (Kindergarten) (First Grade)

First Things in Science

A strong foundation in science starts with learning to observe and to use our words to describe what we observe in rich, hands-on explorations. We use picture books to find inspiration for hands-on experiences or for seeing how the characters in the book describe similar science phenomena.

Five Gifts

Five Gifts is a twelve-week science curriculum offers interactive learning experiences that help students connect their five senses—sight, smell, taste, hearing, and touch—as gifts from God given to people to help us make observations about the world.

Timely Science

Did you know that there is a time to plant and a time to harvest? Why do some animals migrate and others hibernate in the winter? In this twelve-week science curriculum, students will learn about why we experience seasons and how different plants and animals respond to seasonal changes.

Going Moving Doing

Young children know a lot about being active. This twelve-week science curriculum was designed to introduce foundational concepts in physics as we explore movement. We will also learn about famous discoveries in physics and the God who inspired them.

Curriculum (Second Grade) (Third Grade)

Elementary Science

Continuing to grow as a science learner means more connections to everyday scientific phenomena and a larger academic vocabulary.  Our elementary science classes look at larger systems like biomes and the water cycle to make sense of what they experience each day. Books are still an important part of creating that spark for a hands-on exploration but they are also used for opening up conversation points about how the characters might have experiences with the natural world that are different than our own. This type of empathy is something that helps us understand our place in the world better and makes us more mindful science learners.

The World in His Hands

The World in His Hands is a twenty four-week experience that uses books and hands-on experiences to learn about the flora and fauna that fill our world.

Botany Basics

George Washington Carver's love of plants and careful observations and investigations with plants provide just the right soil for us to learn the basics of botany together. This twelve-week science curriculum provides students a chance to learn more about how God designed different plants to grow and thrive.

Stormchasers

How do we describe the weather around us? How do meteorologists predict the weather? Stormchasers is a twelve-week science curriculum that provide students opportunities to collect weather data, make predictions, and build evidence to support a God-centered understanding of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and the Sun-Earth-Moon relationships that affect our weather.

Curriculum (Fourth Grade) (Fifth Grade) (Sixth Grade)

Intermediate Science

Being able to understand the language of science is key as our intermediate science learners begin to make the transition from elementary to middle school. This is highlighted in a more extensive approach to expanding academic vocabulary and opportunities to write and share.  Our intermediate science classes take a closer look at the complex parts of systems like the human body and the biochemical processes of breaking down different kinds of food. Books are still an important part of creating that spark for a hands-on exploration but they are also the launching point for developing the skills to gather and evaluate information from different types of resources.

Mysteries of Flight

Embark on an exhilarating journey through the science of flight with our dynamic twelve-week science curriculum! Our program isn't just about learning—it's about diving headfirst into the wonders of aviation, igniting curiosity, and propelling students on a thrilling quest of discovery. Get ready to soar as you engage, explore, and uncover the secrets of flight, fostering a passion for lifelong learning that will propel your students to new heights!

Made in His Image

Made in His Image is a twelve-week science curriculum that provides participants a chance to explore the structures and functions of nine different body systems and how God intelligently and intentionally created to work together as He made each of us in His image.

Manna Chemistry

Manna, or “What is it?” is the word the Israelites used to describe the food that God provided for them in the wilderness. As this is the fundamental question of chemistry and it speaks to the food God provides, this twelve-week science curriculum provides participants a chance to study the coundational concepts of chemistry paired with important food science topics.
