Purpose of doing a science fair
The purpose behind organizing and implementing a science fair is to give students the opportunity to be involved in one of the best science learning experiences a student can have. We are excited to be a part of creating the next generation of scientists who can investigate and communicate science discoveries in a way that honors God and gives Him the glory for what He has already done.

CHOOSING A PROJECT
This science fair is for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade.
The elementary students (Kindergarten thru 5th grade) have a choice of which project they would like to do. They can do an investigation or a demonstration.
Middle School and High School Students (6-12) are expected to present science investigations.
For specific questions about your child's project idea, reach out to either Nicole Fleming (K-5th) (nicole@sciencebetweenthepages.com) or Christi Smith (6th-12th) (home2bluebonnets@gmail.com). Christi and I would like to start approving projects anytime between now and March 24th. |
Click on this registration button and complete the form for EACH child you have that is going to participate in this year's Homeschool Science Fair.

Help Needed
If you would like to support the Homeschool Science Fair as a sponsor or as a volunteer, we could always use help setting up, decorating, and cleaning up on the day of the science fair. We could always use use additional folding tables and help counting ballots for the People's Choice Awards.
We are also looking for judges with science background. The more judges we have, the faster and less exhausting it is for our judges. We will need judges for both elementary, and middle school/high school projects. If you are a parent with a science background and willing to judge, you can but you won't be able to judge your own student's project. Another judge will have that responsibility.

HOW WILL MY CHILD's PROJECT BE JUDGED?
Elementary projects will NOT be judged with a traditional 1st, 2nd, 3rd place prize or ribbon but each student will be acknowledged for where they are on their science learning journey. For more information on what a Budding Scientist is verses a Blooming Scientist, click on our Science Fair Award Categories (for K-5) thumbnail.
We will collect ballots from science fair participants and their families to count towards People's Choice Awards. There will be prizes for 3 categories in elementary (K-1, 2-3, 4-5) and 3 categories for middle school/high school (6th-7th, 8th-9th, 10th-12th)
